Wilkes' aggregates suppliers were approached by a family in Poole earlier this year who were keen to create a garden space that would lend itself to social gatherings, as well as becoming a place in which they could relax and enjoy summer evenings.
In order to fulfil the client’s wishes, we worked alongside local contractors Gould Groundworks by supplying a range of building materials and garden aggregates that their team then used to create the ultimate outdoor entertaining space.
As well as a neat and inviting garden area for the adults, the client also wanted a safe play area for their children. To create a cornered off section for the kids, our team provided oak and pine sleepers that offer the perfect border to add fencing and helped to landscape the area by retaining soil. To make morter to fill the joints, we supplied Corfe 1 building sand.
For the paved areas, we provided a stable sub base to ensure a flat surface, which the grit was then laid over in preparation for the grey paving slabs.
In order to leave the client with the clean, fresh garden finish they desired, we provided a muckaway service to remove any unwanted soil or aggregates - the client was particularly happy as this was far cheaper than their original plan to hire a skip.
Upon completion, the client was left fully satsfied with a brand new garden area that boasts a welcoming social area as well as a sectioned off play area for the children, both of which utilised low maintenance materials which offer a contemporary finish.
The project was completed within the timescale required and within budget, the couple are very happy with the outcome.
