Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Update 02/04/20: We are now offering deliveries for grab loads and muck away via the website. Please call our office to confirm your delivery slot on 01258 857465. The main quarry is open to trade customers only, for collections of orders.

As the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) has increased, we wanted to let you know of the recent steps MB Wilkes has taken to help reduce the transmission and safeguard our employees and customers. These most recent actions went into effect on 17th March 2020.

In the current environment, the health and safety of our employees and customers is our greatest concern so we have upgraded our actions with specific steps to account for the increased risk level of COVID-19.

To reduce the risk of transmission, while delivering or collecting materials we are implementing a temporary change to the POD signature requirements. A delivery/muckaway ticket will still be issued but we will ask for the recipient’s name and write it in the relevant place ourselves. Customers using the quarry will also be asked to refrain from signing and we will enter your name for you.

Where possible, we ask that all customers pay by card to minimise contact with cash.

We politely request that if you are experiencing any symptoms, that you don’t enter the premises and risk spreading the infection to other customers and employees.

We have anti-bacterial spray at reception and would request you use this when entering the office. We have also increased our cleaning efforts within the office to reduce the chance of transmitting COVID-19 as much as possible.

This is a challenging time for everyone, and the situation is changing daily. At MB Wilkes we are committed to maintaining our business operations and ensuring you continue to receive the highest quality service with minimal disruption. We will continue to update you as more information becomes available.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for assisting us in our efforts to reduce the spread of the virus and for your continued support. If you have any questions regarding our new processes, please contact us on 01258 857465.
