MB Wilkes offers a comprehensive range of rootzone products designed to cover all your soil mix requirements.

What is rootzone?

Rootzone is a highly versatile type of soil which consists of a blend of sand and natural soil, providing it with excellent drainage properties. Our rootzone products are therefore perfect for amenity use, for example, on golf courses, bowling greens and sports fields.

All of our rootzone soils are screened for quality to ensure that you receive an excellent batch with every order, and we have many different grades available to ensure you get the solution you need.

High-quality rootzone products

Golf course and bowling green standard sand/soil mixes are available in many different ratios. A good standard of 70/30 (70% sand 30% topsoil) will provide you with the drainage requirements of a professional golf green. If you require further advice on the right rootzone product for your situation, feel free to contact our expert team for advice.

We also offer a range of washed sands for amenity use, such as cattle bedding.

Unlike the majority of our competitors, all our soil products are kept under cover to ensure your material is as dry as possible when delivered or collected.
